Almass means diamond in Arabic, in the Middle East motifs are usually geometric and elaborate but not at humble homes, in homes that can’t afford the elaborate and labor intensive geometric shapes they use a deconstructed version that is easy to make and that’s where my inspiration came from.
The colorway Diatom that From Me to Yarn made for this design couldn’t be more perfect!
The Almass cowl is crochet top down with a textured stitch that resembles a cable stitch
The pattern uses American Crochet terms, and uses a little less than a 100g of worsted yarn.
